Forged steel gate, globe and check valves for small-bore lines
Forged gate, globe and check valves to API 602 in A105, LF2, F11/F22, F316 and F51, ¼" to 2".
Overview
Small-bore lines, vents, drains, instrument take-offs and sampling connections use compact forged steel valves rather than cast valves. They are lighter, stronger for their size and available in Class 800, 1500 and 2500 to match high-pressure headers.
AM Enterprises stocks forged gate, globe and lift check valves to API 602 from Italian and American manufacturers found on most approved vendor lists in Pakistan. Bolted-bonnet and welded-bonnet designs are available, with socket weld, NPT, butt weld and flanged ends, and with extended bodies for insulated and cryogenic lines.
Material coverage includes A105 carbon steel, LF2 for low temperature, F11 and F22 chrome-moly for high-temperature steam, F316 and F304 stainless, and F51 duplex for corrosive service, all with heat-traceable 3.1 certificates.
Typical applications
- Instrument take-offs and root valves
- Vents, drains and sampling points
- High-pressure steam and boiler piping
- Fuel gas and lube oil systems
- Chemical injection lines
- Refinery and petrochemical small-bore piping

Frequently asked questions
What does Class 800 mean?
Class 800 is an intermediate rating used for forged valves, between ASME Class 600 and 900. Its pressure-temperature ratings are defined in API 602 rather than in ASME B16.34.
Socket weld or threaded ends?
Socket weld ends are preferred for hydrocarbon and steam service because they eliminate thread leakage paths. NPT ends are common on utilities, instrument air and where the line may be dismantled.
Do you supply welded-bonnet forged valves?
Yes. Welded bonnet valves have no bonnet gasket and are used where fugitive emissions must be minimised, such as on hydrogen and hydrocarbon service.
